Ambika Hinduja tied the knot with Raman Macker

After months of courting and a week of pre-wedding parties, Harsha and Ashok P Hinduja’s daughter Ambika tied the knot with Raman Macker, son of Harinder and Paul Macker. Cars continued to zoom into the Turf club through the evening, and high-profile guests all decked to the hilt, made their grand entry into the grand corporate wedding of the season.

The theme for the night was ‘garden’, so the naturally beautiful venue was further beautified by ornate flower and light decorations. And that was further embellished by the glamourous guests that made their presence felt here. All the Hinduja brothers were there, playing gracious hosts, warmly welcoming their guests to the big reception. Praful Patel, Amar Singh, Chhagan Bhujbal, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Sushilkumar Shinde — there was plenty of political clout here. And there was no lack of corporate class either. From Anil Ambani to Gautam Singhania to Kumaramangalam Birla to Yash Birla to Nusli Wadia to Niranjan Hiranandani, it almost felt like an executive boardroom! There was a sprinkling of Bollywood too, with Govinda walking in with his daughter Narmada, the boisterous Randhir Kapoor, Madhavan, Shakti Kapoor, Ketan Desai, Sophie Choudry who came with her mother and musicians Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri. Police commissioner Hasan Gafoor also came to wish the families. Corporate class, political clout and suave society... welcome to the big fat Indian wedding!
