The original dress of the Sindhi

Persons, who were wearing pagirhun

Sindhis were fond of elegant dresses.
Males were wearing various dresses on various
occasions. During the period of Mirs, Sindhi Amils,
who were Deewans in the Mir's rule, used to wear
huge salwar, big boat, angrikho and big cap.
They were not looking as Hindus
but like Mirs. Bhaibunds - mostly traders - used
to wear dhoti, khamiz long coat and pugirhi, mosty
white. They always covered their heads. Amils
who were in government jobs were using khaki dresses
with topilo on their head. The casual wear while
at home was patloon and kameez with small coat
and slipper.
Shikarpuri
richmen were fond of pagirhi (typical) Marwari-multani
style with Bochan. They were fond of long beards
and moustaches on their faces.
