The original dress of the Sindhi male was dhoti, jamo, achi pagirhi ain bochhan kulhete. Brahmins, Bhaibunds and vyaparis used to wear dhotis. Pagirhi was essential for every one. Bhaibunds used to wear (white) pagirhi and it was called aachi pag ma pasu, andera, mircheyoui agarhiyoun.

Persons, who were wearing pagirhun were great. Bochan was even very important and mostly white, well planned and decorated. Jamma were specially worn on some occasions, which were almost opened from the front. Some persons even used coats like sherwanis with gold or Rold golden buttons were mostly black elpac cloth and some preferred white ones, which glorified their personality.

Sindhis were fond of elegant dresses. Males were wearing various dresses on various occasions. During the period of Mirs, Sindhi Amils, who were Deewans in the Mir's rule, used to wear huge salwar, big boat, angrikho and big cap.

They were not looking as Hindus but like Mirs. Bhaibunds - mostly traders - used to wear dhoti, khamiz long coat and pugirhi, mosty white. They always covered their heads. Amils who were in government jobs were using khaki dresses with topilo on their head. The casual wear while at home was patloon and kameez with small coat and slipper.

Shikarpuri richmen were fond of pagirhi (typical) Marwari-multani style with Bochan. They were fond of long beards and moustaches on their faces.
